Fort Rodd (Victoria, BC)

Fisgard Lighthouse – located in the National Historic Park of Fort Rodd -it is a beautiful and informative site to see! Now a free visit with a national park pass, the grounds are maintained and regulated by parks Canada.

This site offers an informative overview of a once known military base for WWII with bomb shelters, look out towers, old weaponry displays, and displays with descriptive information on what each structure was used for!

If you have a history buff or military enthusiast this is the place for you! Not only was it interesting, its a home for many wildlife such as sea otters, sea lions, deer, geese, sea gulls and of course squirrels!

Its a light walk around the park perfect for the whole family! I would recommend this for a Sunday family picnic!
