Fish lake is popular campground just outside of Nordegg. The convenient location and lake front campsites make it an execellent place to spend your weekend. But if you don’t have a reserved spot, and are planning “winging it” after 5pm on friday… you might not get a spot.
I recommended going on Sunday-Thursday if possible, or just making a reservation!
This is a stocked lake, full of little rainbow trout. You will not get skunked on this lake! You will catch from shore, the dock, or the boat! Making it excitng for everyone. We were lucky enough to snag a lake front spot where we launched our boat right from our site and left it there for the whole weekend. It was super handy!
Make sure you have your fishing licenses, and have checked the regulations!
The lake also has a trail that runs part way around the lake, but not the full loop. But if your looking for something else to do, Cresent Falls is just a short drive west!
