This is a great campground but super popular!! Its located between Upper and Lower Kananaskis with one of the only campgrounds in Kananaskis (other than backcountry) that you can get a spot next to the water!
The sites are available for reservation, but the weekends will book pretty fast. But if you go on a weekday you should have your pick of many sites!!! The area is well treed, and private. Your close to both lakes, and theres many trails close by, Upper K lake trail (goes around the whole lake), Mt. Indefatgiuable (hard hike, blog post under hiking), Bolton Creek. Bolton Creek also offers boat rentals for the lower lake! Lots of near by bike trails, and of course, WILDLIFE!!! My favourite.
Theres fishing in both lakes for cut throat and bulls. The lakes are huge so its hard to fish but I recommended below the dam or above it at upper lake! Make sure you have your fishing license and check the regulations!
Please DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE! And be bear safe, Parks Alberta does a wonderful job at creating a safe environment for humans and bears to co-habitate together and enjoy the land!
