The super cool Sooke Potholes! Popular for exploring the canyons, swimming, camping and just enjoying the overall feel for nature!
With 3 parking lots to start your adventure, we started at the top and worked our way past the more popular areas to where we could actually climb in the gorge and explore the canyon from a different perspective! The poleholes are like nothing I’ve seen before!
If your feeling brave (which I did not!) lots of people enjoy swimming in the little pots in the calmer waters, or up the river bank to the “beach” areas. Which are not really beaches, just rocky sides with a little bit of cliff jumping! But the water is so clear and clean we considered it!
We really enjoy this light walk, if your in the area I would recommend checking it out for sure! Don’t forget your swim suite! Would make for a great picnic!
