Wondering what to do this winter?
Castle Mountain Chalets are perfect for the whole family! They are, most importantly, PET FRIENDLY!! Trying to find a chalet that is pet friendly was a very difficult task for awhile, especially big dogs. But these chalets will take any sized pets with a $25/per dog free. AND they were nice enough to provide water/food dishes and two treats for my dogs!
There are a range of cabin size from cozy 1 bedrooms, two bedrooms and suites. There are all very reasonably priced, comes with a small kitchen (stove, microwave, toaster, kettle). That alone will save you big bucks!!! Most hotels are over $250 to get a kitchen, and if your staying longer than a night for food bill for eating out will add up pretty darn fast.
These cabins offer the full winter experience! Remote, wood stoves, skating rink with outdoor lights, trails near by to hike or snowshoe (Johnstone canyon right around the corner).
There are located right between Banff and Lake Louise, so if you need to plan your dinners out, or be prepared to drive. I think thats what I like best about it though, you don’t have to go anywhere! They do have a little store at the front desk, with wine/beer and snack foods mostly. So don’t panic!
Your romantic getaway is just around the corner, don’t forget to dress warm and bring your skates! You won’t regret this one!
